Turning a chicken sandwich into Public Gay Enemy Number One makes LGBT people look superficial, vindictive and juvenile — everything that we as a community have worked hard to overcome. Remember, employers don’t want drama queens on the payroll, military service is serious business, and… i don’t anyone, including me, wants to see Chik-Fil-A go out of business.  we just don’t...

Poll: Views on gun laws don't change after Aurora →
all of this is based on a few realities and myths. the reality is that most gun owners (or their families) haven’t been a victim of a gun assault, so they don’t understand the harsh reality. the myth is that they think if they have guns, they will be able to whip out said gun and defend themselves, but the reality here is that most gun owners can only ‘defend’ themselves...

Romney Praises Israel's Socialized Health Care... →
‎”Mitt Romney simply cannot wait to repeal ObamaCare, but he is a fan of Israel’s health care system … which has been socialized since its founding in 1948, BuzzFeed points out. During his visit to the country, Romney today praised Israel for spending so little on health care: “Do you realize what health care spending is as a percentage of the GDP in Israel? Eight percent,”...

James Peron: Are Liberals Intolerant of... →
Liberals (and lots of other people) are also intolerant of racists, jerks, bullies, and rude people (may classify as jerks).  how is siding with discrimination tolerance?  how is not accepting discrimination intolerance? is “intolerance” the new everything excuse for people who behave badly?  if you are a public nuisance and people don’t like it, are those people intolerant?...

robertreich: The worst economy since the Great Depression and you might think at least one of the candidates would come up with a few big ideas for how to get us out of it. But you’d be wrong. Neither candidate wants to take any chances by offering any large, serious proposals. Both are banking instead on…

A Party Comparison: What’s In Your Best Interest?... →
With all this hullabaloo going on about which party does what… I’d like to offer you my opinion, backed with common sense, and very noticeable to the naked eye fact. You can assume it will be biased, that is also common sense… but you will soon see why. I know we are more than a two-party country, but thinking realistically as to who predominately wins elections, I’m going to stick to the...

what’s interesting is that Romney seems to still be running for the Republican nomination.  he ONLY produces Conservative talking points, but he has nothing to say to the rest of the electorate, the majority of people who don’t identify as Conservative and/or are not members of the Republican Party.  has anyone else noticed this?

In case you were wondering ...
politicalprof: The answer is yes: Americans are about the only people on earth who can get the Olympics who are not allowed to see much of it live. Apparently we need lots of “context”—otherwise known as human interest stories, endless narrative, and lots of commercial breaks. Thanks, NBC!
