the Unapologetic Right, or how voters are seemingly okay with everything their political leaders say, even the crazy shit
Speech is protected, as it should be in this country. If there’s anything that first and foremost represents the United States of America, it is our 1st Amendment and our steadfast adherence and protection of it. Nothing about what I’m going to say has anything to do with restricting speech or violating the First Amendment. I didn’t serve in the Navy for twenty years to start violating the Constitution I swore to protect.
And yet, while protected, I don’t understand the average Republican/Conservative voters’ apathy towards or compliance with the things that come out of the mouths of elected political leaders from their party or those who would be President, namely Gingrich, Romney and Santorum. I have fewer issues with Ron Paul, but he has said some things that have to make you wonder if he understands the principles on which this nation was founded, as well. Nevertheless, he is not nearly off the deep end as the others……
