maybe not racist but certainly loads of racist and bigoted tendencies - a group predominately made up of white people who espouse doctrines and ideologies that exclude, reduce and denounce people of other groups? from what started as an “small government” reformation group, which would ideologically be opposed to both parties (because they are both Big Government), that’s not the message that’s being sent. as an educated white guy from Mississippi with tons of age-old black friends and friends and co-workers of other ethnicities while in the Navy and now at work, i wouldn’t be caught dead at a Tea Party rally. it would betray all those good relationships i have now. so, racist? maybe not as a theme, but if it looks, talks and acts racist……? you tell me.

You know what’s sad is that somebody you and I served with in the Navy is a Tea Partier. Oh, he says he’s a Republican, but I know from his Facebook posts where he stands.
