I just sent a note to the DNC about an idea I have for fighting voter suppression in the upcoming election. To wit:

I would like to suggest an organized way to fight voter suppression in the November election.

Start an “Adopt a Voter” campaign.

Individuals who already fit the requirements for voting in those states where voter suppression laws have been upheld can adopt, say, up to 10 “at risk” voters and ensure that they are able to obtain all the required papers to get their IDs in order and their voter registration confirmed, then on voting day they can make sure that each and every one of those 10 gets to the polls and is not intimidated.

I am willing and able to be a “Foster Voter.”
